The bodywork is in excellent shape, as you'd expect from a vehicle that has been well cared for. A removable image of the Muppets band on its sides is super fun, and a roof rack and tinted cadet visor add even more character to this great VW bus. Tan vinyl upholstery is durable, easy to maintain and perfectly captures the look of the era without being too outrageous. The upright driving position is probably something we will never experience again in a consumer vehicle. The original ventilation system has been upgraded with air conditioning and there is plenty of headroom fore and aft so you can walk between the seats to see what is going on in the back. The interior is in excellent condition, with fun blue and green plaid seat upholstery and a hardwood floor. Details like the bright, airy interior make it an excellent choice, then and today. A modern retro style stereo radio with Bluetooth provides music for cruising. Power comes from a familiar air-cooled 1500cc Volkswagen flat-four, straight out of the Beetle. No, it isn't very fast or powerful, but it is reliable and virtually maintenance-free, so you'll always get where you're going...eventually. Routinely driven hundreds of thousands of miles, these vans are legendary in certain circles, and they come by that reputation honestly. The engine bay is clean and the motor runs great, plus this bus is equipped with front disc brakes.
